STATUTE OF THE "BALATON TABLE"

1.

The headquarters of the "Balaton Table", a spiritual association established under the name "Brotherhood of the Coast":

                        H-8360 Keszthely, Déryné u. 1 / b. Hungary

The Balaton Table joins the International Association of Brotherhood of the Coast, originally based and name in Santiago de Chile, Hermandad de La Costa.

It accepts and respects the Statutes and the decisions of the Court of Honor.

The Table activity is for an indefinite period of time.

In the Association of the "Brothers of the Coast", the "Balaton Table" can have a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 15 members. The members of the alliance should be persons who are familiar with maritime navigation, who enjoy navigation and entertainment. They love community life without social affiliation, their morals are impeccable. They must know, respect and apply paragraph 8 of the International Brotherhood Charter (Octalogo).

The Brother of the Table shall at all times fly his numbered flag on his own ship or on the ship on which he is on board.

The table is led by the captain, assisted by a council of three counselors and a scribe. The captain and the counselors are elected by a simple majority of the brothers by open vote. It is the captain's right to choose a scribe. The scribe is responsible for economic and administrative tasks. The captain and advisers are elected for a term of two years. The treasurer is elected by the brothers by majority vote. The treasurer manages the money on the table. The treasurer, through the scribe, is accountable to the captain for the financial situation of the desk. The table money may be used by the captain or the scribe authorized by the captain, except when the table votes to use the money. Members of the Table may be re-elected after the expiry of their term of office. In the absence of the captain, the scribe shall perform the duties of command of the table and of the captain, if so authorized. In the event of the captain's resignation or death, a senior brother of the Table shall take over the chair until the end of his mandate.

If the number of brothers in the Table is less than 10, counselors and honorary judges will not be elected.

There may be a court of honor at the table when required. Its members are the captain and two brothers, elected by a simple majority of the members of the table from time to time.

Members of the table and aspirants pay a war face each year, the extent of which is decided by a simple majority of the brothers.

The “Brotherhood of the Coast” aspirant must accept the rules of the international “Octalogo” without reservation. The admissions of the aspirant are decided upon by open consultation of the Brothers of the Table upon the proposal of the Board Council. Aspirants have a special list and must participate in the life of the Table for at least 2 years prior to their brotherhood. (Exceptionally, you can set a shorter period by unanimous decision of the Table's Brothers.) The unanimous consent of the brother is required for initiation. The initiation of the brotherhood and the certification of the diploma should preferably take place in the presence of three representatives of the national fraternity at a national or regional gathering.

All brothers have the right to make a proposal to the Honorable Court to "dismiss" another brother if they have good reason to do so. A brother will be disqualified if he  does not participate in the life of the Desktop or does not respect the rules of "Octalogo" 8. Prior to the "departure", the brother is summoned by the Court of Honor, and within 60 days the brother is suspended, which requires a decision by the council. The disqualified brother may appeal against the suspension within 60 days.

The Balaton Table commits itself to organizing meetings (Zaffarancho) at least 6 times a year. One of these meetings takes place at sea and only one of the brothers attends each year. Meetings can be attended by other Table Brothers or. invited guests as well. The Table commits itself to attend national or international meetings, and at least one brother represents the Table.

The international statute is the "Octalogo", which is respected and accepted by the "Balaton Table".
